Bring your body, your inhibitions, your bodies memories and your emotional nudity to the Body Talk workshop. In this workshop we will mesh body movement, art and poetry to honor ourselves in ways society and those closest to us do not. Anastacia Tolbert’s work is a trellis of twilight, ultramarine ache and lowercase loam. January 24th, 2014 7:30pm at Core Gallery Tickets: $10 for general admission $5 for students with valid ID |  1/18/2014 Black Womyn Figure DrawingBlack Womyn Figure Drawing Workshop (open to all arti January 18th, 2014 12:00pm-3:00pm Core Gallery Admission: $10 Featured Artist, Hadeev, will be facilitating an afternoon of figure drawing with an emphasis on capturing the essence of black womyn in art. There will be three live models for the workshop. |  1/16/2014 Silence Embodied"Silence Embodied" is a meditation circle for womyn of color to come together and learn how to meditate and find their inner peace amongst both novice and advance practitioners. It will begin with a discussion on body image stereotypes and truths, and end with a group visioning and meditation and mindfulness exercises to take home with you. The event will be held from 6-8pm at Core Gallery. We hope to see you there! |
