Yomika Alexander
Yomika Alexander joined the Board of Earth Pearl Collective in May 2015. She currently works as an Assistant Events Manager in Orange, VA for The Montpelier Foundation, the home of former President James Madison. Prior to this role, Yomika worked as a Program Coordinator for the University of Chicago Medical Center where she served as a liaison between UC and community stakeholders addressing health improvement and health disparities in Chicago’s south side communities. She has served on the Boards of Sisters Working It Out, an organization focused on breast cancer awareness, and Affinity Community Services, an organization focused on the LGBT community, as well as, volunteered with several other organizations. Yomika served in the United States Air Force and is a graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, where she obtained her BA in the field of Women’s History and Activism. She continues to remain an active participant in the struggle for women’s rights, equality and safety and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Capella University.
